The Kratt's Brothers from PBS's Wild Kratts (and its earlier versions, Zaboomafoo and Big Backyard) had a live show in CLT on Sat. We got tickets as a Xmas present for the kids. The show was geared for current show's pre-school audience and our kids were clearly less reliable viewers than others in the audience. Nevertheless, they--C and E especially--would yell out answers when asked to do so. E sat on her knees and propped her arms up on the back of the seat in front of her to get the best view possible. M sat on my lap most of the time. They all enjoyed themselves.
C and I had a trip to Myrtle Beach last weekend for a Scout sleepover at Ripley's Aquarium. We arrived in MB at 4:30 on Sat and went to the beach. It was cold and windy and mostly deserted. We walked the boardwalk for a short stretch and then back along the beach. C was interested in collecting some shells for his sisters but there wasn't much of any size or coloring. They let us into the Aquarium at 8 and gave us over an hour to ourselves to explore before the program. C had a good time touring with his friends. He especially liked touching the jellyfish. We got to sleep in the tunnel with the sharks etc swimming over top of us. This Aquarium wasn't nearly as large as Atlanta's and we didn't get a behind the scenes tour--a really cool element of that sleepover program--but had a good time.
M has started a more advanced gymnastics class. She now practices for 3 hours on Wed nights. So far, so good.
